Key Features:

  • Absorbs hydrogen sulfide and other corrosive gases to prevent metal damage
  • Irreversible reaction — no re-release of trapped corrosive gases.
  • Color-changing indicator shows when replacement is needed.
  • Self-adhesive, compact design for quick installation in enclosures.
  • Works alongside VpCI® emitters without interference

Description:
Corrosorber® absorbs hydrogen sulfide, volatile mercaptans, and other corrosive gases, removing them from the atmosphere and eliminating the cause of some damage to metals. The chemicals contained in Corrosorber® have been treated to change color from off-white to black as corrosive gases are trapped. Corrosorber® will not interfere with VpCI® protection. Unlike other products on the market, Corrosorber® will not release the corrosive gases back into the atmosphere. The reaction is irreversible, eliminating any concern about post-contamination.

Protection:
Typically protects 10ft3 (283.2 L) of enclosed space, with conditions of 1 ppm of hydrogen sulfide and 1 air change on a daily basis.

Size:
Corrosorber® are plastic self-stick devices covered with a breathable membrane. Diameter: 2.3” (5.8 cm). Height: 1.27” (3.2 cm). Individually wrapped and shipped 10 cups per carton.

How to Use:
Install the Corrosorber® at the earliest possible time. Select a space where corrosion protection would be useful, and attach using self adhesive backing. Replace cup as soon as the container appears gray

Typical Applications:
Corrosorber® cups are designed for enclosed spaces where hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) and other corrosive gases can rapidly damage metals and sensitive components. They are widely used in wastewater treatment plants, lift stations, and sewer system enclosures where H₂S exposure is common. Additional applications include petrochemical facilities, natural gas operations, pulp and paper mills, and agricultural or livestock environments where sulfur compounds are present.

Corrosorber® is also ideal for protecting electrical and electronic equipment such as control panels, switchgear, fuse and power boxes, electric motors, telecommunications systems, marine navigation and communication equipment, aerospace controls, medical devices, and remote or packaged electronics. It helps extend the life of components installed in cabinets, terminal boxes, wireways, and other enclosed industrial environments, and can be used alongside VpCI® emitters for combined corrosion protection.
