Cortec®'s Boiler Gecko™ is a ready-to-use Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitor packaged in an air-powered spray can for use in dry layup of small boilers and steam components. The VCI molecules will ensure protection throughout the boiler. Direct application to a metal surface is not required. Boiler Gecko™ is a safer and/or more effective alternative to nitrogen blankets, desiccants and quicklime. Boiler systems can be returned to service quickly by simply filling the boiler with makeup water. No need for product removal or flushing. Contains no heavy metals, halogens or solvents and it is pH neutral. It is also nitrite-free and silicon-free. It is non-flammable and does not form solid residue. Contains no chemical propellants and can be sprayed in any direction, even upside down.

Packaging:
Available in 12 oz (340 g) EcoAir® bag-on-valve spray cans powered by compressed air.

How to Use:
Completely drain and cool boiler. Shake Boiler Gecko™ before use. Spray evenly and consistently throughout the internal void space to ensure proper distribution. No product removal is required prior to boiler startup. When the boiler is put back in service, fill with water and employ normal startup procedure. The remaining product will dissolve. One Boiler Gecko™ will treat approximately 100 gallons (380 L) of boiler volume.

Typical Applications:
Boiler Gecko™ is effective for seasonal or long-term preservation of waterside and fireside components in boiler systems where traditional layup methods are not practical. Protects carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and alloys, copper and alloys.
