Description:
Cortec® VpCI®-309 is a Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitor Powder for corrosion protection of ferrous metals in recessed areas, interior cavities and voids. The VCIs vaporize and adsorb on all metal surfaces. They create an inhibiting layer on metal surfaces that provides up to 24 months of rust prevention. The protective layer self replenishes by continuous vapor redeposition. It does not contain nitrites, phosphates or heavy metals. Little or no surface preparation needed. Protected products can be shipped to customers without removing powder.
Packaging:
Available in 5 pound (2.3 kg) and 50 pound (23 kg) fiber-lined drums. Store indoors and out of direct sunlight. Contact Us to get a quote for this product in 100 pound (45 kg) drums, or to get a quote for a Silica Free version.

Use 0.3-0.5 ounce of VpCI®-309 per 1 cubic foot of enclosed space (300-500 g/m3).
Typical Applications:
VpCI®-309 protects carbon steel, stainless steel, steel alloys and aluminum. VpCI®-309 can be used to protect tubular structures, pipes and vessels. For internal surfaces of compressors, turbines, engines, tanks, boilers, heat exchangers. Use for dry layup of closed circuit cooling systems. It can also be used to protect equipment after hydrostatic testing and to protect parts and assemblies during shipping and storage.
