Cortec® VpCI®-611 is a water-based anti rust concentrate for water blasting, wet abrasive blasting, hydrotesting, fire sprinkler water systems or preservation. It contains contact and vapor phase corrosion inhibitors capable of protecting uncoated surfaces. It is non-toxic and contains no nitrites or phosphates. Welding after applications will not cause toxic fumes during welding.

Packaging:
Available in 5 (19 liter) gallon pails. Contact Us to get a quote for this product in drums. Store in a heated warehouse to prevent freezing.

Dilution:
Dilute Cortec® VpCI®-611 at a ratio of 1:10 to 1:40 with potable water by volume for fresh water applications. Dilute Cortec® VpCI®-611 at a ratio of 1:4 for salt water applications.

How to Use:
Mix VpCI®-611 before use. For wet abrasive blasting and water blasting, add VpCI®-611 concentrate directly to the blasting media. After blasting let the surface to dry. For hydrotesting, add VpCI®-611 concentrate directly to the hydrotest water. Either leave the solution in or drain it out. For preservation of sandblasted surfaces, add VpCI®-611 to water and spray the freshly cleaned surfaces with the solution.
VpCI treatment can be removed from the metal surface with water or conventional washing procedure. In most cases it does not need to be removed prior to painting or coating.

Typical Applications:
Cortec® VpCI®-611 is used to prevent rust on carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, mild steel and other ferrous metals. It is not suitable for yellow metals.
Use for wet abrasive blasting, water blasting, hydrotesting, preservation of sandblasted surfaces and ballast tank preservation.
