Cortec®'s VpCI® Chameleon™ is an innovative corrosion inhibitor that simplifies and improves the wet layup process for boilers where the steam may come into contact with edible products in and around food processing areas. Unlike traditional strategies for corrosion protection during wet layup, VpCI® Chameleon™ does not require frequent monitoring or reapplication, saving significant time and labor costs. It contains contact and Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitors for comprehensive protection below the water, above the water, and at the air/ water interface.

How to Use:
When used for boiler wet layup, the suggested dosage of VpCI® Chameleon™ is 0.5% by volume. Calculate the amount of product needed for the total volume and add in a manner that ensures even mixing and distribution throughout the boiler. Seal the boiler for the duration of wet layup. Does not require draining before returning to service. One gallon of VpCI® Chameleon™ liquid will treat approximately 200 gallons (5 L/m3) of boiler water volume.
